Fall Festival

One of our most favorite traditions here is a fall festival. We all have some cherished memories playing these games and eating way too much candy. This year we made the trek to our old home town to join in the festivities there.

Why bobbing for apples remains one of the favorite games to play, I will never know, but they love it. And it's Traaadition, tradition!

Racing to get candy out of pudding using only your mouth is a favorite as well. I'll admit, I get the fun in this one. :)

When I had my turn to race, I was so intent on winning that I even ate the yarn with the Twizzler. An argument could be made that my competitive nature goes a bit too far.

Competing to make the best toilet paper mummies.

This lady here was raised in a neighboring country. She used to draw water from the well and carry it home and boy could you tell. Walking while holding a baby with water on her head was an absolute breeze.

And let's not forget the cake walk!

I was thankful H landed on the right number early on. I wasn't sure how she would handle not getting a cupcake.

There was even a donkey cart ride.

And of course, face painting. (These are actually twins that were born at our hospital, one of whom needed life saving surgery.)

Peppa Pig!

A werewolf for Silas, who of course, could not pass up face painting. The boy just loves it.

Another great fall festival down in the books. We were truly thankful to be a part of the day and look forward to more festivals to come.
