First day of school 2013

This school year is completely new and full of changes. We have welcomed two new families onto our team, both with three kids each that are basically the same age as ours so it has been a lot of fun. We also changed curriculum and have two new teachers. They painted the school and added more rooms. So basically, my two boys are the only thing that was the same from last year. :)

D and K were all smiles before heading out on Monday.

Here's the group! Isn't it amazing? After ending the last school year with just my two boys at home, this is a welcome change. We are so thankful for Rachelle and Sharon who agreed to come out and teach this year. Such a blessing beyond words!

Kenan spends most of his time with these two boys. Sharon has her hands full with these three full of energy boys! :)

The teachers were so ready to begin school that they closed the doors on the parents as we weren't getting the hint to get going. :) Two of us did open the door and try to take a quick shot of the older kids'classroom. Couldn't believe it- they were already working!

The younger three are going to L'ecole Samuel (whenever it opens) and then are doing kindergarten in the afternoons. I wasn't planning on sending Silas but Sharon was all for it so we're trying it. He is loving it. I think this will be more of a pre-K year for him. We shall see.

Currently he cries each morning as his brothers get to go to school and he has to stay home. I am reminded that once L'ecole Samuel opens, it will be cries for having to attend school. :) Hopefully he will do better with that this year.

Here's to a new year!

  1. God is so amazing, He answers prayer exceedingly more than I could ask or think!!!! Nine children all the same ages!!!! God is so good to hear/answer the desires of my heart.
Love the colorful set up, names on the elephants and the 3 different classrooms. Shouts out to Sharon and Rachelle.
I noticed the boys "dressed up" for school. :)
