The boys went and saw him the other day. It was quite cute. Kids aren't allowed in the buildings so they had to talk to him through the window. They were very happy to see him, though all Kenan kept saying was "nose" because he couldn't figure out what was on Bocar's nose (the nasogastric tube). I think Bocar really enjoyed seeing them. His window is right beside where the staff has devotions every morning. He said he prays with them each day as they pray. That was neat to hear.
Our house guy, Jeremie, has a cousin that was a guard for another place. Has official guard papers and everything. Jeremie had told us about him before, wanting to know if we knew of anyone who needed a guard. So we were able to call him the same day Bocar got hurt and he started work that night. He will fill in for Bocar until he gets back. He's a nice guy, not the same as Bocar who is just amazing, but good nonetheless. Hopefully he can get a job somewhere else when he is done. We're hoping with the mission, seeing there is a night guard for the mission property that has terrible cataracts and can't see hardly at all. He is my language partner's husband so I see him very often and know him well. Yet the other night, I was at the mission and as I left stopped to greet him. He didn't know who I was. I mean, if he couldn't see my face at night, I guess that's ok (not really for a night GUARD) but he couldn't even tell it was my car! That's pretty bad! Hopefully he'll get retired soon. (and just in case you're worried, he'll be fine financially- his son works at the hospital so he can provide for him.)
