Beth Moore Study and a little more

I have just loved the Beth Moore study I am doing. It's "Living Beyond Yourself" on the fruit of the Spirit. It has been awesome. Really incredible. I could write a book on all the things I have learned from it; it is that good. One thing I have found very interesting, though, is that the verses the Lord used during the time I was struggling to move here (when Dawson was 6 months old) have been in the Bible study. Neat to be reminded of them again and encouraged that they are still true and that He is faithful.

Isaiah 49: 15-16 “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast  and have no compassion on the child she has borne?  Though she may forget, I will not forget you!  See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;  your walls are ever before me.”

Daniel 3:17-18 "If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it, and he will rescue us from your hand, O king. But even if he does not, we want you to know, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up."

Isaiah 43:18-19 ”Forget the former things;  do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?  I am making a way in the desert  and streams in the wasteland.”

And then another passage that I just thougt was really cool.
2 Kings 6:8-20 The king of Aram sends a "strong force" with horses and chariots to capture Elisha and his servant. When Elisha's servant sees all the men, he asks Elisha what they are to do.

"Don't be afraid, " the prophet answered. "Those who are with us are more than those who are with them." And Elisha prayed, "O Lord, open his eyes so he may see." Then the Lord opened the servant's eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of firt all around Elisha."

How neat to think of all the thousands of angels surrounding us, protecting us and fighting on our behalf in the fight of life. If only I were more often aware of the Lord's army which surrounds me, then maybe I wouldn't have to fear so much, then I could rest in Him and His faithfulness.
