We were able to go down to Koutiala with my parents and visit the pig farm one afternoon. This place holds such sweet memories for our family. It was our haven outside of our town and we enjoyed many special times there as a family. It was fun to be able to take the boys back there.
The boys started climbing here years ago just on the rocks without any gear. This time they came prepared to really climb. And just like I did years ago, I chose not to watch. :) Thanks to a friend, Lindsay, we have all these pictures. :)
The pig farm is very near the village where my dear friend, Sabi, lives. I had not seen here since we left in 2013. It was such a sweet, sweet reunion. She was out from her house when I arrived but people knew who I was and went searching for her. She literally came back running and there were hugs and kisses shared. This is one of my most cherished friendships yet we don't communicate, at least with words, on a deep level (thanks to my Bambara). Yet, we speak volumes to one another in the heart. I'm so blessed by her. Standing by her is her youngest daughter, Sheri.
Again, thanks to Lindsay for all the pictures.
