Miracles can happen!

Sunday was Silas' last day with the pacifier. Brett had wanted to get rid of it before a year but I kept it because I wanted it for the weaning process. With the trip to the US and thus the prolonged weaning process, Silas became a HUGE fan of the paci and wanted it ALL the time. Dawson gave up the paci at 6 months and Kenan never really was interested so this paci infatuation was new for me. I was scared to give it up. Yesterday, Silas looked for it all day. He didn't sleep his entire nap but cried the whole TWO hours (yes, I did check on him and hold him some). I was really worried about the night but he slept well. A small cry in the middle of the night but that was it! He even slept until 6:20. (Unfortunately, 6:20 is awesome lately. While my sister was here and Silas was in our room, he was waking up at 5). I just put him down for his nap a little while ago and he went to sleep WITHOUT crying! Praise the Lord! Hope this continues and there is no more thought of the paci!

  1. So great to read your most recent blogs and updates. Very glad Silas is doing well (besides the 2 hours of crying!) without his paci. The photos of Mr. Independent are SO precious! : )
